General requirements

  • Secondary school degree or equivalent credentials providing eligibility for university admission in home country, issued after 2016

  • Satisfactory grades in biology and chemistry from previous education (secondary school, college or university)

  • High level of knowledge in the following fields: Chemistry and Biology

  • High level of English language proficiency

  • Interview examination in biology and chemistry.

Formal requirements

  • Completion of the online registration form. To register click here.

  • The following digitally scanned documents need to be uploaded during the online application:

       -Secondary school reports (GCSE and A-levels) and reports from any other completed educational programs                          including biology and chemistry coursework.

       -Any other documentation which you would like to provide to support your application.

  • The following documentation will need to be submitted after the successful entrance examination. Only hard copies or certified copies will be accepted. ​

       -Secondary school certificate or report which would qualify the graduate to undertake higher education in the country          of issue, with the issue date no earlier than 2016. A diploma issued before 2016 might be accepted if the education has            continued. The certificates and/or reports need to be supplied with apostille or legalization certificate. In the United                 Kingdom all apostilles are issued by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in Milton Keynes.  In the United States,                      the Secretary of State and their deputies are usually competent authorities.

       -Report sheets of all completed educational programs

       -Curriculum vitae/resumé

       -Applicants with IB diploma (International Baccalaureate) are required to select the advanced level in one of the                      following IB examinations: ‘Biology’ or ‘Chemistry’.

       -Criminal report check from country of residence.

All documents must be in English or a certified translation needs to to provided.

Hard copies of your application documents and your official photo ID (passport or national ID) will need be presented during the interview. This also applies to the remote interview.

Pharmacy Program overview

 

During year 1 you will learn the anatomy of the human body and the biophysical processes on which human physiology is grounded. You will get acquainted with methods of identification of medicinal plants and their structure. You will practice chemical calculations for preparation of medical substances and statistical methods of mapping and interpreting results of scientific analyses and measurements.

During Year 2 you will learn how to describe physical transformations and chemical reactions in quantitative terms. You will get to know the instruments used within the pharmaceutical industry, and find out how to recognize and identify microorganisms and explore ways to contain them.

Year 3 program will introduce you to the healthcare aspect of pharmacy, both in theory and in practice. You will learn the basic techniques of molecular biology and methods of using them to search for new drugs and therapies. During vacation placement you will have opportunity to work in a community pharmacy.

Year 4 classes will be introduction to an advanced pharmacotherapy where you will learn the clinical aspects of pharmacy by shadowing doctors in different wards. You will get hands-on experience of patient care and various pharmaceutical therapies used in today's medicine. Vacation placement will take place in a hospital pharmacy.

During Year 5 you will acquire the skills of patient communication and assist patients in choosing the right medication. In hospital wards you will get familiar with rules of effective and safe pharmacotherapy, as well therapeutic drug monitoring. You will write, complete and defend your master thesis.

Year 6 will include a 6-month internship and clinical rotations that will prepare you for the Final Professional Pharmacy Examination. You will learn to work as a member of a therapeutic team and conduct modern individualized pharmacotherapy. You will assist doctors in making decisions regarding the choice of drugs, their dosage and application.

Tuition fees

Tuition fees are 38,700 PLN per annum.

A deposit in the amount of 4,800 PLN is required. 

The acceptance letter will specify the date by which the payment needs to be settled. Please note that the deposit payment is the condition of the enrolment on the students list.

The balance needs to be paid in three instalments (details will be outlined in the acceptance letter).

Dormitoty fees and estimated cost of living in Poznan

Depending on the dormitory, monthly rental costs are between 380 PLN and 600 PLN for a double room and between 760 PLN and 1200 PLN for a single occupancy double room.

The costs of living in Poznan for students can start from 2,000 PLN depending on the type of the accommodation and expenses.
